Introduction
Pomodoro by Elsa is designed as a private focus tool. It does not require an account, and the core timer does not depend on a Pomodoro by Elsa server. This policy explains how information is handled in the app and on this website.
Information stored by the app
The app stores timer durations, appearance and sound preferences, notification settings, completed sessions, focus history, task tags, daily goals, and current timer state on your device using Apple system storage.
Focus history and task-tag information may sync through Apple iCloud key-value storage across your Apple devices. Apple processes that sync under your Apple ID and Apple’s privacy terms.
Optional Apple permissions
Notifications
If allowed, the app schedules local session-complete and daily reminder alerts. You can turn this permission off in iOS Settings.
Screen Time and Family Controls
If you enable app blocking, Apple’s Family Controls framework lets you choose apps and categories to shield during focus sessions. Apple protects those selections using opaque identifiers. The selection is stored on your device.
Health data
If you grant Health access, completed focus periods can be written as Mindful Minutes. Health data is handled through Apple HealthKit and is never used for advertising.
Widgets, Live Activities, and Apple Watch
An Apple App Group shares current timer state between the iPhone app, Home Screen widgets, Live Activities, and Apple Watch companion. This information remains within Apple-managed app storage and keeps those experiences in sync.
Information we do not collect
Pomodoro by Elsa does not sell personal information. The current app does not include advertising SDKs, third-party analytics, or an account system, and it does not upload focus history or task tags to a developer-operated server.
Data retention and deletion
On-device data remains until you clear it, remove the app, or erase the device. Synced preferences and history may remain in iCloud according to Apple’s retention controls. You can manage iCloud and Health data in your Apple account and device settings.
Children’s privacy
Pomodoro by Elsa is a general-purpose productivity tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require a birth date or account.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change when the app’s features or data practices change. The date at the top identifies the latest version.
